Vivin Purnamawati joined SSEK in 2021 and has been highly involved in a wide range of projects, including mergers and acquisitions, internal corporate restructurings, legal due diligence exercises, commercial documentation review, and general corporate law. She is experienced in advising on matters in a variety of sectors, including trade law, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, and employment.
Vivin has represented major Indonesian state-owned enterprises, multinationals and private domestic companies. Her experience includes assisting General Electric in connection with its contemplated global spin-off into three public companies, assisting with the liquidation and dissolution of the indirect Indonesian subsidiary of Abrdn plc, advising on the local distribution structure of a multinational luxury retail company, advising on the internal restructuring of a major state-owned enterprise, and representing PT Bank Index Selindo in the joint investment by Modalku (Funding Societies) and Carro.
At university, Vivin was a research assistant for a business law professor and an international law lecturer in multiple research projects focusing on energy law. Vivin also represented her university and earned several recognitions in legal writing competitions. She was active in student organizations, including serving as president of the Buddhist Students Association of Gadjah Mada University in 2019.
Vivin was recognized as the Best Graduate of her graduating class.
Vivin is fluent in English, spoken Mandarin, and several Chinese dialects, as well as her native Indonesian.
