Bagas Ananta specializes in litigation, with a particular focus on suspension of debt payment obligations (PKPU), bankruptcy proceedings, and civil disputes. He also has significant experience assisting clients during investigations by Indonesian law enforcement authorities involving alleged criminal violations.
At SSEK, Bagas has represented clients in a wide range of contentious matters. His recent experience includes successfully defending a shipping company in a high-profile tort-based class action involving claims of damage caused by ship-to-ship coal transfers. He also assisted a Swiss investment bank in recovering substantial amounts owed by multiple Indonesian entities under share repurchase agreements.
Prior to joining SSEK, Bagas spent two years at another prominent law firm in Jakarta, where he handled a variety of corporate and commercial matters, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment, and licensing and regulatory compliance across a range of industry sectors.
