Dicky’s extensive practice at SSEK includes general corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, foreign capital investment, and dispute resolution and arbitration, with specializations in IT and telecommunications, and employment law. Dicky is the senior associate in SSEK’s employment practice.
Dicky was named a key lawyer in SSEK’s labor and employment law practice in the 2022 Legal 500 Asia Pacific directory.
Dicky is extensively involved in representing multinational clients on various acquisition and asset transactions in Indonesia and regularly acts as the project leader.
Dicky regularly handles clients with multifaceted regulatory needs. He is primary Indonesian counsel for a Canadian multinational smartphone company, advising the client on various corporate, commercial and telecom regulatory issues in Indonesia, as well as assisting with employment law matters. His involvement includes representing the client in meetings with Indonesian regulatory bodies and law enforcement authorities.
As the head associate in the firm’s labor practice, Dicky is involved in many of the labor and employment matters the firm handles. His recent projects include acting as primary counsel for a multinational pharmaceutical company devising and implementing strategies to ensure a successful employment restructuring for more than 400 employees throughout Indonesia, which concluded without any challenges from those employees, a rarity in a jurisdiction where employment disputes and claims are common, especially during an employment restructuring.
Dicky has also led SSEK teams in arbitration proceedings in Singapore under SIAC Rules and the Singapore International Arbitration Act, culminating in victories for two clients.
Dicky is fluent in English and Indonesian.
