SSEK, Japanese Business Community Organize Webinar on Indonesia’s New Omnibus Law

SSEK partner Stephen Igor Warokka was a featured speaker at a recent webinar on Indonesia's Law No. 11 Year 2020 on Jobs Creation, better known as the Omnibus Law.

The webinar was organized by the Jakarta Japan Club (JJC) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).

The Omnibus Law is intended to make it easier to do business in Indonesia, bolster investment in the country and create jobs. amends, revokes and adds provisions to laws in multiple sectors of the Indonesian economy.

Stephen provided an overview of key changes under the Omnibus Law. He discussed, among other topics, construction, energy and mineral resources, environment, forestry and plantations, investment and licensing, manpower and immigration, real estate and land procurement, special economic zones, and trade and industry.

The webinar was attended by more than 300 audience members.
