SSEK Partners Lead Seminar on Risk-Based Licensing in Downstream Oil and Gas Sector
12 July 2021

SSEK Legal Consultants has cooperated with PT Pertamina, an Indonesian state-owned oil and natural gas corporation, and the Indonesian Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises to offer a virtual seminar on risk-based licensing in the downstream oil and gas sector.

The event was titled \"The Implementation of the Job Creation Law on Oil and Gas Activities and Risk-Based Licensing Through the OSS System in Business Processes in Commercial and Trading Sub-holding in Central Java,” . It was held on Tuesday, July 13.

SSEK partners Syahdan Z. Aziz and Fransiscus Rodyanto were featured speakers.

They discussed business licensing in the downstream oil and gas sector under the newly enacted Job Creation Law.

Indonesian oil and gas law defines downstream business activities as those that focus on processing, transportation, storage and/or trade.

The Job Creation Law and its implementing regulations have fundamentally changed the existing licensing system in Indonesia to a risk-based licensing system.
