SSEK Acting as Indonesian Counsel to Yokohama in $905m Acquisition of Goodyear’s Off-the-Road Tire Business

SSEK Law Firm is acting as Indonesian counsel to The Yokohama Rubber Company, Limited in its acquisition of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company’s off-the-road (OTR) tire business for $905 million, as has been announced. Completion of the transaction is subject to the usual regulatory approvals.

The OTR business being acquired by Yokohama primarily provides specialized tires for the mining and construction industries.

The SSEK team is led by founding partner Ira A. Eddymurthy and partner Nico A. Mooduto, with senior associate Maria Yudhitama E. Dewi and associates Eugenia Leonetta and Ravi Amarendra.

Global law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer is lead transaction counsel for Yokohama.
