Ruth Margaretha Ginting joined SSEK in 2021 and her work includes mergers and acquisitions, payment systems, technology, banking and finance, land and property, and personal data protection law.
Ruth’s projects and experience include acting for PT Indo Kordsa Tbk in a merger with PT Indo Kordsa Polyester, assisting a major Southeast Asian water company in a public-private partnership project in connection with a water supply system in Aceh, and assisting a major Japanese company with due diligence of a potential acquisition target in the financial technology sector.
Prior to joining SSEK, Ruth worked at another prominent law firm in Jakarta with an international partnership with one of the largest law firms in Japan, where she was extensively involved in a wide range of corporate and compliance matters and transactions. Her experience included assisting the National Research and Development Agency of Japan in a G2G project with the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources concerning compressed natural gas vehicles in Indonesia.
Ruth was recognized as one of 24 Next Generation Lawyers in 2021 by Hukumonline, a leading online provider of legal products, information and services in Indonesia.
Ruth is the founder of the non-governmental organization Kasih Hukum, which assists micro, small and medium enterprises in obtaining basic licenses and provides pro bono legal consultations.
Ruth is a native Indonesian speaker and is fluent in English.
