Joseph Hendrik

Joseph Hendrik (Joe) represents clients in employment and litigation matters, including PKPU and bankruptcy cases, industrial relations disputes, and civil disputes. Joe is also experienced assisting clients in investigations by the Indonesian police and immigration officials.

Joe’s experience includes successfully representing a Big Four accounting firm in a dispute at the South Jakarta District Court, acting for one of the biggest creditors in the high-profile suspension of debt payment obligation (PKPU) process of Indonesian flag carrier Garuda Indonesia, and successfully representing a major Indonesian restaurant in an industrial relations dispute at the Semarang Labor Court.

Prior to joining SSEK in 2017, Joe spent several years at another prominent Indonesian law firm, where he was involved in various corporate and litigation matters.

Joe received a full scholarship from the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education to study law at the University of Sydney, where he earned his Master of Laws in 2017.

Outside of work, Joe works with students from his alma mater to help prepare them for international moot court competitions. He has also given talks at the Asian Law Students’ Association, where he was secretary general while in university.
