Gisela Keyla Mathea joined SSEK Law Firm in 2024 and has worked on a variety of projects, focusing on general corporate and commercial matters.
Keyla graduated in 2024 with a double degree: a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) in European law from Maastricht University and a Bachelor of Laws (S.H.) from Airlangga University, where she graduated summa cum laude and was recognized as the Best Graduate. At Maastricht University, Keyla co-founded a student-led legal blog and participated in MaRBLe, Maastricht University’s honors research program, conducting research on the application of the Digital Services Act in the EU. She also studied comparative European law, focusing on the Netherlands, France, Germany, the UK, and the EU.
Keyla was also actively involved in international moot court competitions during university. In 2022, she represented Airlangga University and Indonesia in the international rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in Washington, D.C., where she moved into the advanced rounds and received honourable mentions as an oralist. In 2023, Keyla represented Maastricht University and the Netherlands in the 30th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, held in Vienna, where her team received the Eric E. Bergsten Award for Best Team Orals.
Keyla is fluent in English and Indonesian.
