Fernando Lintong specializes in banking and finance law, including project finance, and capital markets. He also advises on M&A transactions and general corporate matters.
Fernando was the lead associate on two major transactions, namely representing Grab Inc. in its US$40 billion merger with SPAC Altimeter Growth and Nasdaq listing, the world’s largest SPAC merger to date, and acting for SCG Packaging PCL in its US$1.5 billion initial public offering. He has advised banks and borrowers in various financing transactions, including representing a Taiwanese bank in the provision of a US$57 million loan facility to an internet service provider and representing a state-owned enterprise in a US$135 million club deal senior term loan facility.
Fernando is a frequent speaker at seminars and training programs organized by multinationals, state-owned enterprises and law schools in Indonesia, covering various legal topics including contracts, legal due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and finance transactions.
Prior to joining SSEK in 2018, Fernando worked at several other prominent corporate law firms in Jakarta and was seconded to the Singapore office of an international law firm.
Fernando helped found and chaired a debate community, Parahyangan Law Debate Community (PLDC), at the Parahyangan Catholic University Faculty of Law. He was also involved in several national moot court, debate competitions, and international student conferences.
Fernando is fluent in English and Indonesian.
