SSEK Law Firm partner Nico A.P. Mooduto and senior associate Maria Y. Eka Dewi were featured speakers at a seminar organized by Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keungan – OJK) on Mergers and Acquisitions, Consolidations, Split-Offs and Spin-Offs of Non-Bank Financial Institutions (Lembaga Jasa Keungan Non-Bank – LJKNB).
Nico and Maria shared insights on the legal framework governing mergers, acquisitions, consolidations, split-offs and spin-offs, with reference to the laws and regulations applicable to financial companies, venture capital firms, microfinance institutions and other financial service providers.
They also addressed legal implications and protections for customers, creditors, employees and minority shareholders arising from such corporate restructuring activities.
The seminar was part of the OJK’s Supervisor Certification Program for its PVML (supervision of non-banking financial sector) and IAKD (supervision of digital financial assets and crypto assets) divisions. The program aims to enhance participants’ understanding of the legal aspects of financial operations and corporate transactions across Indonesia’s non-bank financial sector.
