SSEK Lawyers Participate in 14th Asean Law Association General Assembly

SSEK Law Firm senior partner Ira A. Eddymurthy, partner Dewi Savitri Reni (Vitri) and  senior associate Aldilla S. Suwana participated in the 14th Asean Law Association (ALA) General Assembly 2023 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Ira was part of the panel on “Our Asean Sentinels,” which discussed how the legal community can forge new paths and build an inclusive and sustainable regional garrison. Vitri co-moderated a discussion on “Our Environment – UN’s Code Red for Humanities,” which examined calls for social governance of our environment. Aldilla was a panelist for the discussion.

Aldilla was also one of the judges for the Asean Moot, which took place in conjunction with the general assembly, and SSEK associate Pasha Hubeis coached the Indonesia team for the Asean Moot. Teams from Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam participated.

Asean Law Association, established in 1979, assembles legal practitioners from all the Asean member states to promote regional cooperation among the legal fraternity in the region.
